Our facility has 5 Sandblast cabinets that are equipped with quick air shut off valves for your safety. This safety option automatically shuts off the air source entry if the cabinet door(s) is opened and remains in the "no blast" position until door(s) is completely closed.
Cabinet air is supplied by a heavy-duty air compressor that ensures more than adequate levels of air. Compared to most other sandblasting systems, lack of air is never a problem.
Refrigerated air dryer eliminates water in the lines that may cause clogging. This is an important feature because of the humidity in British Columbia, water in the lines may cause clogging and downtime to clean the lines.
Our facility is generally based on a ‘do-it-yourself’ motto; however, we would be more than happy to sandblast any of your items for you.
All 5 of our "Mod-U-Blast®" cabinets are constructed with heavy duty 14 gauge steel, internal lighting system, safety glass viewing window, and overlapping positive tension doors. Each cabinet has a pistol grip blast gun, natural rubber vinyl gloves, and an air blow-off gun.
Sandblasting Is Useful For:
Cleaning
Removes rust, corrosion, and paint without effecting dimensional tolerances.
Finishing
While the surface is being cleaned, imperfections and machining marks are blended in.
Deburring
A moderate deburring effect takes place during cleaning to smooth sharp edges.
Frosting / Etching
A frosting effect will take place on glass and plastic.
Engraving
As you spray the part, depending on the length of penetration, an engraving effect will occur. |
